A SUNNY, BLUE-SKY DAY BRINGS MEMORIES...

TO MY DEAR FRIEND CONNIE, WHOM I MET SO MANY YEARS AGO THROUGH CONCORD AIRPARK AND THROUGH FLYING...

So many jet trails in the sky today; how exuberant for me to look at them!.
I know I see the trails there because the skies ARE open and allow that visibility. Still, I love to think about the pilots happy to be flying there, not bound on the ground. I know you understand, my friend--you who have long had personal knowledge of how it feels to fly such skies with your own hands on the controls, and steering with your feet.So many years ago, for a time too brief, I shared that feeling, and it imprinted itself forever in my spirit. All it takes is looking up into a sky and seeing what I've seen today.

A JANUARY SUNDAY EVENING SUNSET

A happy Sunday evening to you all! ❤️
I watched through my west window as the sunset began its evening show. From the sky, a mix of pewter, grey and silver reflected down onto the thread of water that still was visible upon the surface of the icy creek.
As the silver disc of sun slid down beneath the trees, there was yet more beauty for my eyes to see, as a pale gleam of pinkish copper lit the sky above the trees.
It took its good old time in disappearing . I'm glad I didn't miss a bit of it! 😏
