ANTICIPATION...

The natural world around me in my wooded creek-valley seems quite "bald" right now, due to serious delay in the springtime "leaf-out" process.

I would say, however, that when the green arrives, we will NOT take it for granted!

ONE LAST WALK BEFORE SUNSET...

My dog and I are walking one more time before the sun begins to sink into the west horizon.
Daylight is still strong, sky is still blue, and we still can see the whiteness of the waxing moon above us.
There are birds and animals for my big dog to chase, and down the woodland path toward the barn, the birds are chattering and picking up materials for their nests.
Wildflowers are beginning to appear, and the creek is singing softly...
Ah, it's hard to go back to the house.
But spring or not, my big dog is tired.
He says good night to you, and so do I.

SUNDAY MORNING BEING BORN...

Walking in the early morning darkness, Mick and Rose, amid the trees that reach tall for bright stars...

The air is clean and brisk around me, just cold enough to wake me to the beauty...

How great Thou art, indeed...

Sunday morning being born, and I am privileged to be there.
