INSPECTOR ROAMING THE HOUSE

Bob and I have wondered why things haven't seemed "right" this winter; why we've been restless instead of happily cocooning in the warmth of the house, watching the snow fall outside.
Today we realized what it is; our dog, Jack, is no longer with us.
Jack kept our feet warm...
He was a fine companion for many a year in our evenings of winter...
He was part of our household...
Things are quiet without him under our feet.

GROUNDHOG NEWS...

Geauga's resident groundhog, Konstruction Man Kevin, comes out of his lair today and announces: "Hey, you idiots! No matter WHAT I see, there will be six more weeks of winter... and THEN some! Spring never has arrived (and never WILL arrive) in early February. And in northeast Ohio, when the calendar date of March 21 indicates spring, it's STILL a long way away. So leave me alone!"
Meanwhile in old Punxatawney, the groundhog crawls back to his hole and the people keep drinking their way through this day.

UH-OH... I presumed those were pipes in the photo above, but Konstruction Man Kevin might be aiming high-caliber artillery at us; DUCK!
