HARD TODAY TO SEE THE BEAUTY...

It's hard to find a bit of beauty in this day.

The air is liquid with the fog
arising from the softening snowpack;
and the roadside glaciers loom as dark as coal.

Grey-and-sunless is the gloomy pattern,
and I expect to look into the trees
and see the vultures lurking.

Yuck!

R.A.T. (Rose About Town) and her husband have retreated indoors to pull out the seed catalogs and draw up a garden plan. Hope springs eternal!
