THE WINTER CREEK HAS COME TO LIFE...

It's muddy, rainy, dismal... but it's not all bad today. The temps are fairly mild, the skies have cleared enough tonight to reveal the waxing moon well on its way to full... and the creek water's visible again. I haven't seen it since early November, well covered as it's been by snow and ice. What small rivulet of water has up to now revealed itself only rarely from time to time has swelled to late-winter mighty as it swallows up the rains and upstream drainage.
My creek is trying out its voice again; it makes things look and sound alive again; it gives us hope for spring.
